If I’ve ordered a home pcr test can I go to walk through instead

Dd has had a cold and now has a cough. Normal end of cold cough but school want a pcr test. Went in this morning and there were no appointments available but could get a postal one. I’ve gone back in and there are now appointments at the walk in. Doing this will minimise the time off needed. Can we go there instead even though we’ve ordered the home test

I would think so yes, they may make you book online when you are there - this happened to a friend.

I ordered a home one and then went to a drive through one instead as it was a bank holiday and the instructions said don't do it on a bank holiday as it would be delayed with the post etc.

When I went as a drop in they gave me a card to register online when I got home.
