I’m bored and have run out of inspiration!

To give you an idea of the type of things I like, I follow Mr Ballen (tells stories of strange events), Morgan Donner (historian who recreates clothes and hairstyles), Weird History, HotnFlashy (about being in your 50’s), Mystery Scoop, Bernadette Banner (historian). Rachel
Maksy (historian), glamourdaze, Nicola White (mudlark) etc.

I like those videos where they bring old portraits to life as well, and some dog training channels. Air crash investigations. All sorts really. Please inspire me!

Thank you.

I follow the corridor crew, a team of special effects artist who critique film special effects, stunts etc and also produce their own shorts and do fun experiments (camera on a cannon etc) I'm in the 3d art field so I find it interesting because of that but it's interesting in a history of filmmaking way if that's your thing.

Pallyum · 19/09/2021 17:55

That does sound interested @Morningstar66 - thank you.

Sounds like you'll adore Kendall Rae! The best true crime YouTuber who tells you everything in detail but sensitively and without dramatics.

PumpkinsGalore · 19/09/2021 18:11

Same concept for Bailey Sarian but slightly different style. She does make up whilst telling you the details!

Pallyum · 19/09/2021 18:42

Ooh thanks @PumpkinsGalore, those do sound right up my street.

Particularly like the make up/crime combination - seems like she found a good usp there!

She has, she's funny too, so has become very successful.
PaperhouseLegs · 19/09/2021 20:50

I like Ask A Mortician. Interesting and factual, a good mix of history and common practises of a working mortician.

YouTubeAddict · 19/09/2021 20:52

Tyler Z, Mr Ballen, Mr Beast and Kendall Rae. I’ve also been searching up loads of song parodies, there’s some great ones (especially if you’re quite childish) ‘Hot Dog Condom Style’ being a particular favourite 😂

TomorrowsPrincess · 19/09/2021 21:08

Another vote for Bailey Sarian.
I love her voice and she's quirky too. She does some amazing make up looks too.

Pallyum · 20/09/2021 00:08

Thanks for further suggestions :)

If you like crime and humour, please look up That Chapter. I found him randomly and I'm obsessed!

MarmiteyCrumpets · 20/09/2021 13:33

Seconding the recommendation of That Chapter.

If you like history, you might enjoy Forgotten Lives and A Little Bit of History, and for historical crime, They Got Away With Murder and Briefcase.

Casefile is another brilliant crime channel, but it can get very, very dark and disturbing.

MarmiteyCrumpets · 20/09/2021 13:35

Oh, and if you like disasters try Fascinating Horror and Plainly Difficult.

For pure relaxation I love Imamu Room (Japanese mom making Bento boxes) and TabiEats (couple of Japanese guys travelling and eating).

TottieMarchpane · 20/09/2021 13:41

On the humour and learning side, there's MapMen and Tom Scott.

Beelzebop · 20/09/2021 13:42

Bedtime Stories, scary stories with excellent graphics.

NotMyCat · 20/09/2021 13:44

Really random but anyway!
Namis life - silent vlog that's weirdly relaxing
Grackle - food based stuff

And Bailey Sarian

TwooThirty · 20/09/2021 14:24

No extra suggestions but I love Bernadette Banner and Imamu. So wholesome.

KeeOe · 20/09/2021 16:45

Oooh, try Bright Sun Films. He does lovely documentaries about abandoned resorts and retail spaces and bankrupt big businesses. I realise I haven't sold it too well there but hes really good, honest!

Pallyum · 20/09/2021 18:32

Thank you so much everyone, really appreciate the suggestions. They sound fab. The abandoned resorts sounds really interesting.
