Kingston Bagpuize and the local area

Hi everyone
Can anyone local to the area of Kingston Bagpuize in Oxfordshire please give me some info on what the area has to offer? What it’s like to live there? What primary and secondary schools are the most popular choices ect?

I honestly have no idea, sorry, but the fact that I thought it said 'Bagpuss' has already endeared me to the place 😊

I know the area vaguely - it's 30 mins drive west of Oxford. Lots of house building going on in the area and if it's like other parts of Oxfordshire - no increases in infrastructure to support the new residents, eg schools, GPs, etc.

Road links OK, although if driving into to Oxford for work the Oxford ring road does getting very busy. Don't know about buses but Oxfordshire not well served by public transport so I wouldn't think it's brilliant. Nearest main line station ? Oxford itself which has a pretty good service into London and up to the Midlands & Birmingham. Nearest town other than Oxford is Abingdon and a bit further for Swindon.

Beautiful part of the world, although a little remote. I know Bampton better - they film the village sequences of Downton there.
