Wellies and school

LO goes to a school nursery. They've said we can leave wellies there for play outside. We have a spare pair so happy to do that but what about when we walk to school in the rain...do I change her shoes before she goes in? Will the teachers change them when she goes in? Not sure what the done thing is. Impossible to chat with the teachers ATM!

Change her shoes befits she goes in.

At our school, in Year R it was common for parents to be changing wellies into shoes outside the classroom in the morning

Can she put her own shoes on? When it was very wet, we sent DD in wellies and she would change into her shoes at her peg. I'm sure they would help if needed but would probably encourage her to try.

If your child wears wellies to walk to school then change them into their other shoes before they go inside. Or walk to school in other shoes. I assume the wellies are for forest school? As changing an entire class into wellies everytime they go outside to play sounds like a right faff. Grin
