Hermes lying about attempted delivery!

There is no human to contact, the phone line, Internet chat and email are automated and do not give you the option to speak to someone.

I'm getting no reply on twitter also.

The courier is clearly lying. I have been in during the attempted delivery times.

What can I do?!

Yes I had this happen to me few times. Following in case someone can help as I did not figure out how to complain or who to contact.

Hermes have the worst customer service. I would contact the retailer you purchased from.

Same thing here. In the end I had to complain to who I bought the item from and say it was their fault for using a piece of shit courier service.

They gave me a refund eventually after many angry emails.

7 weeks later (after Christmas) the offending box arrived. Dumped outside my house balanced on a post box for anyone to take.

Contact whoever you bought from, they usually have ways on contacting them. Hermes are absolute rubbish!

Hermes is the devil's courier, I'm certain of it. My stomach dropped last week when I ordered my daughter's birthday present and found out it was coming via Hermes. On this occasion it actually turned up when it was meant to, but the last package I ordered they kept saying they tried to deliver it but I wasn't home. Complete with a screenshot of their GPS on the other side of town and a photo of the package in the back of their van for 'proof' of attempted delivery. Couldn't get hold of anyone to complain and it finally arrived on the third 'attempt'. You may have more luck contacting the retailer.

I've complained on ebay. Hopefully they will trace it now. Its causing me too much stress.
Do they expect me to be in an infinite amount of days and then not deliver?

Twice they’ve said they “couldn’t find our house” as an excuse for failing to deliver something on time. Terrible company

Beware there is a text scam atm where they say they have attempted to deliver and you need to pay a fee to rebook.

I would wait a few days before wasting and energy trying to sort it out (unless the missing item was required for this weekend)

I've had a couple of recent incidents like this and the package has eventually turned up after a few days. Bloody frustrating but not worth stressing about unless the missing delivery is something extremely important.

Hermes always do this, I guess so the driver doesn't get penalised for not getting his route done. It will turn up eventually

Hermes didn't deliver a parcel I ordered last week and it was shown as "a delay - we'll have it on the move within 24 hours". Nothing then happened for 3 days, I did try to get a response from Hermes but their customer service is terrible (impossible to get past an automated reply and they don't respond on Twitter). I had to contact the retailer to complain - I was told Hermes had "lost" it and so it was written off, no attempt to try to find it. I was given a refund but the inconvenience was more of a problem as we had really needed what was in the parcel. I won't be using Hermes again if it's possible to identify the delivery service.

I think they do this when they don't have time to deliver.
I think they put down they attempted so they still get paid.
Have had this happen a few times and it normally turns up the next day. Agree it's incredibly stressful though!

Ours was supposed to be trying to redeliver yesterday but we found the parcel had been lobbed over the fence a few days previously and was completely sodden from the rain. No card through the door, just lies about delivery. Their 'digital agent' on their website is worse than useless. I contacted the retailer (big name) and they said they would contact Hermes but I won't buy from them again.

Our Hermes guy didn't collect a parcel he was meant to, didn't even turn up (husband working on the porch roof the whole time and no one came to the house) but instead told Hermes the parcel was unsuitable for collection.

Bloody good psychic abilities he must have as told Hermes what he thought was in it too. Wrongly.

As for why Hermes had collected and successfully delivered six identical parcels recently there was no response.

Same here, since lockdown everyone knows who the couriers are and they often answers the question in Facebook group

Hermes isn't one thing, the service depends on the the actual courier and in my area they are pretty good

All through lockdown I only had one thing that didn't turn up and the retailer replaced it.

My Hermes package was marked as delivered and the “proof” I was given was a picture of the parcel only.
