Waste free laundry detergent?

Can anyone recommend a good one? I'm going through everything I use item by item to try to eliminate as much plastic as possible. Anytime I google waste free laundry detergent I just get big bottles (refill sizes) of liquid, or some really hippie-looking stuff in hessian bags!

I have a child with ASD so I need a bio detergent. His clothes can get really grim so I can't mess around with natural or sensitive detergents! I do prefer liquid, moved from powder years ago because it didn't rinse properly, but maybe I need to revisit it?

Would love your opinions xx

I use Smol. They are ok. I keep some persil liquid in too though for tough stains you can get a small box as a trial for one pound postage.

Use powder and don't overload your machine!

Check the load capacity for the programmes you use, for most modern machines only a long cottons wash can take a full drum load. If you over load it won't rinse properly.

Another vote for smol tablets. Although I do find over time that liquid tablets impact the machine so do a vinegar hot wash regularly
