Holiday Inn - does it matter how many people the reservation is for?

I made a booking for 2 people.

Only, the HI website reset the search parameters so the confirmation came though and says the reservation is just for one adult.

But the same confirmation also says that no more than 3 people are allowed to stay in the room!

So, does it matter that the confirmation says it's just for 1 person?

Have you booked any meals, e.g. breakfast?

I am currently on holiday alone. One place gave me two keys for the room, the other gave me jut one key - double room each time, only one occupant. So there's no consistency across hotels. What HI thinks, I don't know.

No meals, room only!

Just send a quick email or phone call to the hotel to say it's 2 people.

You need to confirm its for two people it happened to me and it caused all sorts of issues

I’ve tried email, phone and Twitter and I’m not getting any response…

Hi I've made this mistake a few times with Hilton and Holiday Inn - I blame the websites! It didn't make any difference, the price is the same, The only issue I can see could be if you're checking in separately at different times

I did this with premier inn, just meant they had to give us some extra towels at check in

Let them know. What if there's a fire ? 🔥

I am trying to! I don’t intend to sneak DH in. I’m more concerned that they’ll try to increase the room rate. That’s why I’m trying to find out if Holiday Inn sell rooms according to occupancy or per room.

It’s per room

A double would be 2 people max

But they do have different types of rooms
Double / Twin 1 -2 people max

Double with sofa bed this could be for two adults and one kid on the sofa bed

Family room for 2 adults x 2 kids

Holiday Inn sell rooms by occupancy, it will be fine just telling them when you check in.

careerchangeperhaps · 18/09/2021 20:57

There's no price difference for 1/2/3/4 people at holiday inn. You just need to tell them at check in how many are staying in the room so their registers are accurate in case of fire etc.
