Sausages Use By date 17th September - look fine and smell fine. Would you cook them?

Yes absolutely. Half the food in our fridge is eaten past the use by date!

LawnFever · 18/09/2021 16:43

Yes I would definitely- if you’d bought them from a butchers they wouldn’t have a date at all.

frasersmummy · 18/09/2021 16:45

It was only yesterday..they didn't suddenly go bad at midnight..they will be fine

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 18/09/2021 16:46

Yes fine

Ugly6 · 18/09/2021 16:46

Well I probably will cook them, don't much fancy raw ones Grin I had it in my mind that 'best before' meant use your common sense but that 'use by' was a definite no-no. But then again it seems daft to chuck them out when they look fine.
