Are these not just random stones from his drive or found on a beach?

Look like random pebbles from wherever to be honest.

Pavlova31 · 18/09/2021 11:41

Perhaps the significance is he picked them up as souvenirs from various seaside holidays.

If you really needed an Hitachi cordless drill box it might be worth the fiver

Unfortunately not! I was looking at ‘crystal box’ and it appeared in the search!

GertrudeKerfuffle · 18/09/2021 12:06

From the description 'this collection could possibly be of lasting importance' Grin

I don’t know much about the stones save to say that the person who collected them maintained they were each of significance and worth keeping.

Sounds like the seller has a toddler!

So handling stolen goods?

AliceWo · 18/09/2021 19:37

Nice looking collection of pebbles I suppose, maybe it spans the whole range of types of rocks on the Devon coast or something. Think I'll pass on the purchase though!

ChotaPeg · 18/09/2021 20:10

Plus the £8 postage!

Makinglists · 18/09/2021 20:17

Look random but possibly from diffetent beaches some possibly limestone, some possibly igneous rocks No significance apart from the patterns and any significance to the owner ie beaches I have been too.

RobinHumphries · 18/09/2021 20:35

East Devon…. So the Jurassic Coast - may have some fossils (but to be honest I’m clutching at straws, they just look like beach peoples to me)

Isn’t this one of those money laundering things? People sell crap on eBay that they know no one will bid on and their partners in the illegal activities ‘buy’ them so they can pretend to be earning money legitimately?

That could well be it. If you look at the sellers other items there's all manner of crap, some of it seriously overpriced.

They're either up to something or sadly delusional about what things are worth and saleable.
