New travel rules not applying if you live in Wales 🤯

This pisses me off so much. The in resort lateral flow test before re entry into Wales puts me off as there is a risk you’d be stopped from returning home of positive (if you’ve already had and recovered from covid this is a possibility).

Why can’t rules be rules for us all? Sick of having to wait for Drakeford to lag behind and play catch up imposing rules or deliberately not staying in line with England just to be different.

Living in Wales is like being in the dark ages at time 🤯

I disagree that it's like living in dark ages. That seems an odd comparison to me.

Welsh Government have said they will consider the UK proposals to drop some testing elements associated with international travel. As much as possible they've matched UK rules for international travel so it may well change in line with England when they makes changes in October.

Pretty sure Scotland is the same. It is England that is out of step here, not Wales / Scotland.

It’s hardly surprising, the Scottish and Welsh devolved governments have done their own thing throughout. Normally they follow with a similar plan a couple of weeks after England so hopefully it will change for you soon.
