Anyone else unable to log into the Boots website? It’s been over a month!

For some reason the Boots website has stopped me being able to log in. I get all sorts of error codes: that I’m logged in elsewhere, an invalid cookie was received, the customer did not log onto the system, an unexpected error occurred…

I deleted cache, tried different browsers, different devices, nothing works. The problem is Boots’.

Looking online it seems lots of other people are having this issue. Boots’ technical team promised they’d look into it weeks ago but clearly nothing’s being done.

I just wondered if anyone else has had the same issue? I have a load of points I’d like to spend in the online-only sales but it’s impossible.

I had this early last year. They said my email address was no longer valid, because I hadn’t ordered anything online for a while. They managed to regularly send emails to that address though.

I had to set up another one in the end.

Boots are poor. They don’t answer the phone if you try to make an appointment and if you go in person , they tell you that you should have phoned.

I had trouble a few weeks ago when trying to book my flu jab, it wouldn’t accept my password. Tried resetting with various passwords but kept being told I’d already used them - I know I’d hadn’t used all of them so not sure what was going on. In the end I made my new password something like Dickheads2020 and it accepted it. Since then I’ve ordered from them a couple of times using new password and not had a problem.

Boots' website is famously awful. It feels like three different broken websites from 2009 held together with optimism and old glue.

its slow and clunky for me and the search is pretty shit
i will only use it now if i really need to check something and cant find it elsewhere

Forgot to say - I have tried all sorts of combinations of logging in and out of the app / browser etc. Sad

I can’t believe they won’t fix this!

I’ve just tried to log in again and got an error message:

“An error has occurred. Please contact your system administrator.”

What system administrator?!

Absolutely this. And their bricks and mortar stores aren’t much better at the moment, tbh.

I know this is a zombie thread. I'm using it to ask if other people are having this problem. Eight months on & I've just had the same problem.

Superdrug have the product I want at the same price as Boots, so I'm going to try them. I wanted to use my Boots points, though: is that possible atm?

I haaaaaaaaate their website, but they do good deals sometimes so i persevere. I've never had the problem you're describing exactly, but it did lock me out for a long time once. I can't recall but I doubt i did anything fancy to fix it.

Just had an absolute nightmare with trying to order from Boots online. It kept randomly emptying my basket and then when it did accept the order it , it’s changed it to store pick up. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Which is what I wanted to avoid 😡

I've had this problem for months using Chrome, I managed to log in using an incognito window in the end and that worked fine.
