I want to bind together a stack of a4 paper notes. In school I remember little strips you could put through the holes and then bend back, turning your notes into a 'book'.

I've scoured amazon etc with no luck, I think because I don't know the name for it. It wants to give me those long plastic sliders that cover the entire edge of the page.

Can anyone help?

I think they’re called acco fasteners.

CaptainPovey · 17/09/2021 13:52

Might work instead?

Bobbyelvis4ever · 17/09/2021 13:52

They used to be called “virgin legs” in Swedish - you’re welcome to this disgusting fact from the not so distant past

I see you have your answer OP but does anyone know what the little metal paper holder things were called?
They were like a mini bull dog clip without the end bit and were out on with a plastic applicator type thing.
Sorry the description is completely rubbish 🤣
You fed the metal things into the plastic thing and it opened the clip then you pushed it onto the stack of paper and it closed.

Cornishbelle · 17/09/2021 14:13

@mrsdavegrohl do you mean these? I remember these in offices back in the day!

The word I needed was fastener, thanks all! Actual acco fasteners are metal and expensive, I managed to get some bright cheap and cheerful plastic ones on amazon.

They will always be my virgin legs 😁

Supaclip.
mrsdavegrohl · 17/09/2021 14:55

Aww yay thanks @Cornishbelle and @mochudubh it was those! Supaclip! I was starting to think I'd imagined them

AdaColeman · 17/09/2021 14:56

Oh my goodness I so need some Supaclips now!

Treasury tags are short lengths of cord (often green) or elastic, with a metal aglet at each end.
