Can anyone help me turn off this stupid Amazon feature?

Amazon have recently started adding a "You purchased this on (insert date)" banner above things I have bought. It's really annoying as the children click on toys they are wanting and can see what I've bought them for birthdays and Christmas! Is there any way to get rid of the bloody thing? I'm going round in circles in my Amazon account.

No idea other than signing out of your account before children are allowed to use your device?

The simplest way might just be to log out of the account, so the kids can’t use it?

Or you can hide orders on Amazon, but I don’t know if that hides this bar… and they’d see the order if they went onto the order history anyway.

We have Amazon Prime so that the children can watch the films so logging out isn't an option.

I archive all orders I make for them so that they are secret but it doesn't turn this feature off on the product page, only hides the order itself. It's so annoying!

Set them up their own profile(s) for Prime video.

Its shite isnt it? My kids kindle tells them all the things I've looked at or bought. You have to be logged in to use the kindle and seems to be no way of turning it off.

I finally worked out how to stop alexa from announcing what was in the parcel arriving that day.

He's too busy going to the moon to sort out his stupid spoiler alerts. Lunar fun sponge.

I've been seeing that banner for at least a couple of years now, so it's not really that recent. I'm not aware that it can be turned off. TBH, whilst I understand your frustration where the children are concerned, I actually find it quite helpful when I am looking to buy something again , especially when there are a lot of versions of the same or similar product.

It's recent on mine Eric, I've never had this trouble on previous Christmases.

I managed to get through to a someone on live chat who said that although there is nothing I can do from my side they can disable the feature from their end. It will take 3-5 days and then shouldn't spoiler any more gifts. Hurrah!
