Google isn’t being my friend today so I am hoping for some help.
We have a train mad kiddo and would love to take him and his cousin (also train fanatic) on a day out.
Must be somewhere within reach of the North via transport. We are ‘Up North’ - Leeds/Sheffield area.
We would like to take the train there to keep it a ‘train based’ day out! Kids are under ten so the journey can’t be too long, central of England as possible, so unfortunately no trips as far out to London or Edinburgh.
So far we’ve done -
National Train Museum York
Kirklees Light Railway
Southport Miniature Railway
East Lancashire Railway
Any help from you lovely lot would be great I’m sure there’s more Loco loving families out there :D
