Why don't people tell you when there's something on your face??!!

I just stood talking to a woman in the park for a good 20 minutes, walked home and stopped to chat to a few other people on the way. Got home and instantly saw I had a big smudge of chocolate on the tip of my nose from my Costa hot chocolate.

Mortified 🤪🤣

I'd always tell someone if they had something on their face! I find it weird when people don't, surely you'd prefer to know sooner than later??!!

Ha, I used to put a dab of lipstick on my cheeks and rub it in, instead of blusher.

Wondered one day why I was getting very funny looks, only to realise once home that I’d forgotten to rub it in, so was walking about with 2 red spots like some mad woman thinking she was a clown. 😱
Luckily I was only going to the corner shop.

I don't know why people I don't! I try to as I would want to know myself, let's start a movement.
I love that lipstick story though, like Aunt Sally!

I tell people if I'm talking to them at the time. Thanks id always rather be told than look silly so I take the same approach to others.

I do it subtly as required depending on who it is.

I once walked around all day getting really weird looks , it wasnt until I got home later in that it dawned on me I had only pencilled in one eyebrow!!! I have naturally black hair so it was very noticeable that I'd missed one 🤣

PumpkinKlNG · 17/09/2021 09:39

I would probably only tell a friend or family member tbh

Dfg15 · 17/09/2021 09:46

Years ago I told a friend at work that she had a black smudge on her forehead - she looked at me in disgust and said ‘it’s Ash Wednesday’. I’m not religious at all and had no idea that was a thing! Oops.

hopeishere · 17/09/2021 13:07

I always tell people. It's horrible to be all chatty and then go home and see you looked a mess.

Suzi888 · 17/09/2021 13:08

🤣🤣🤣🤣 sorry OP.

Recently went to the doctors and he had to examine my ears. As He stood in front of me I noticed his flies were undone. My face was crotch level. I didn't know what to do, tell him his flies were undone or just pretend I didn't notice. I was flustered and didn't say anything. Then thought Christ! What if hes now realised and thinks I didn't say anything coz I was enjoying the flash. Honestly it will haunt me for years lol

I was once at the stables and had been in the field in the rain. Then spent a happy couple of hours drinking coffee with the tiher liveries, and introduced myself to a new livery and her daughter, had a nice chat. When I got in the car I looked in the mirror and realised my mascara had run down my face in the rain. No one said a word, I looked like Alice fucking Cooper. New livery must have thought I was nuts, why did no one say anything! Bastards!
