Pad wearers- how many do you use during your whole period?

Maybe a bit TMI so don’t share if you aren’t comfortable. I think I have a super heavy period although it’s hard to know because what’s heavy to one person mightn’t be to another.
I’d say through my whole 7/8 day period I would use over 25 sanitary towels. This seems like a lot. I would use maybe 5/6 the first 3 days and then 2-3 the rest.

Mine is very heavy so probably 30 pads or so. I have tried a moon cup but the first 3 days it was filling very fast etc and I didn't really find it comfortable.

At a rough estimate I'd say similar to you, maybe 25-30 over 7 days including a change during the night on my heaviest days. 3-4 days of heavy flow that dwindles by the 7th day. Don't know what the average is but I've always seemed to suffer more with cramps, heavy periods and painful clots than friends.

At my heaviest i could get through one every 30mins. Over 2 or 3 days

Nowhere near that amount… probably around 12. But I have very light periods that only last 2-3 days.

I have light periods which only last about 3 days. I change my pads every 6-8 hours so I guess I use about about 12. But they don't need changing that often, as in they're not saturated, I just change them because you're supposed to every 8 hours. I could probably wear the same one all day.

I get through a night/heavy flow pad every 2 hours for the first 4/5 days then every 4 hours for another 2/3 days. So probably around 40 maybe more, I use washable pads to save on money and reduce plastic

@Qualitytot2 I’m similar to you, first 3 days are heaviest so could be upto 6 pads a day on those and then remaining 2 days are a little lighter with last 2 days tailing off.

I'd say 30-40 or so for me too if I was exclusively using pads. Rarely do that though as prefer tampons on my heaviest days and prefer using period pants on the lighter days - day 5 onwards.

I have to limit as money is tight (I only buy the cheapest brick style ones), so a pack of 12. I supplement them with a huge wad of loo roll as well when I should probably use two.

Wow! Nowhere near that amount, I only rarely have to put a new one in, in a day.

3-4 a day plus a nighttime one for overnights. So maybe 10-12 per period.

I’ve just swapped to period pants. They’re great but you do need quite a few as they take so long to dry. My periods are getting heavier and I was having leakage issues even chafing lads regularly. Since having the pants I sometimes forget I’ve got my period. So comfy and no leaks.

Heavy periods for me usually last for 5 days I double up on them aswell probably 30 pads at least I was going to invest in period pants but you need quite alot so can't right now
