I hate reading threads where there is a drama and the OP never puts the person in their place or says what they really think.

Can someone please tell me of a time when they stood up to someone?

Well, there was that time I was in a Waitrose, perusing the pates, when a man 3 meters down the aisle said "Oh! Bit of a foodie?"

I told him he was "Rude!", then rammed him in the ankles with my shopping trolley, and set him on fire.

He won't go round making small talk at anyone again, the sexist bastard.

A random man in the street butted into my private conversation with a sneery ‘OOh, that’s a big word what does it mean?’ I replied ‘if you don’t know what it means, look it up in the dictionary- and while you’re at it look up wanker!’ That was in the 90s, I’ve never thought of as good a comeback since 😆
