Will a Chromecast get live tv to a tv with no reception but wifi?

I'm currently building a garden office. It will have wifi via a relay system from the house router. It will have electricity.

I'd like to put a tv in there. If I buy something like a chromecast will it mean I can watch tv such as bbc?

You can watch BBC live through iplayer so yes. On the channel page it shows you what's currently on and then you can watch live or from the beginning.

I don't think All4 and the ITV hub have a live option though.

ITV and All4 do not cast live tv, but if you stream on a computer you can cast from the chrome browser.

You can watch live TV through the apps on an Amazon Fire stick

I should think that'll be fine. I might want to have the news on a bit when working and then the kids might want to go in there in the evening and watch tv but as long as they can watch netflix and catch up they should be fine! Thanks

Wouldn't an indoor aerial allow you to watch live TV?

All 4 and ITV Hub both do have live TV, I just checked.

Oh I forgot they were a thing….I was thinking of massive ones on your house roof/in the loft but yes that could also work! 😆. I was worried I was going to have to get a buried cable from a socket in the house down the garden.

Glad to have saved you lots of digging and cable burying! I have one for the TV in my bedroom and it works great. How good it is might depend on how close you are to the transmitter. I don't think I am particularly close but I am on the 2nd floor - not sure if height makes a difference.
