I always use paybyphone.co.uk to pay for parking and I've just had a letter with a fine saying I parked with no ticket a few weeks back. Upon checking and looking into this it appears I typed in 1 number wrong at the end in the location part, so I did pay for parking just as a genuine mistake i mistyped 1 number. The letter has just arrived only leaving me with 3 days to pay the reduced fine before it jumps up to £100. I've never had any fines before so unsure what to do out of these options. Should I pay the reduced fine and appeal it giving evidence that it was a genuine mistake, or should I appeal it and not pay the fine, or should I just pay it and not appeal it? WWYD?
