I have the opportunity of going on a 5 night holiday on my own mid October before half term.
My budget is prob £350 400 MAX for flights and hotel and possibly breakfast if I can get it and looking on Jet2holidays holidays there are a few places that look doable.
I have only ever been to Salou (with my kids a few weeks ago) and I was supposed to be going away with sister for my birthday but that’s fell through.
So I have work booked off, kids staying here at school with dad and I have a longing to see the sun!!
When I went to Salou it was raining and bloody cloudy so my first ever time in a hotel with sun loungers was a bit anticlimactic but when it was sunny I really loved it.
As I’m so holiday inexperienced I am looking for the hottest place possible in mid October that matched my budget and airports I can reasonably get to - NW, East Mids, Leeds.
Greece Tenerife Gran Canaria and Lanzarote are the front runners.
I am looking for somewhere a bit touristy with a nice beach. I was erring towards Hersonissos til I found out Crete can be cool in Oct and put myself off.
I am desperate to go to Benidorm but don’t know if I’m brave enough to go on my own. I love Blackpool too just to give an idea of what I might like!
TLDR: Does anyone have any suggestions for a tacky, touristy hot in October holiday destination they can suggest?
