Save me! Household D&V

Between Sat and today, both toddlers have or have had 24hs of D&V… longer of the D, but the V seems to be over.

And now I can feel it brewing. What, if anything, can I do to save myself?! Hungry but scared to eat dairy, or anything tbh…

In this scenario I always take charcoal tablets. I have found them effective at preventing me getting it too, although would caveat that by saying I’d have started them ASAP after the first person was ill.

Pepto Bismol.

Nibble plain food like dry toast. Do not eat foods that might stain or be awkward to throw up (popcorn, mashed potato, tomatoes, carrots etc). Drink lots, isotonic sports drinks or water. Have a bucket ready. Line the mattress with a spare bed mat if you use them for the toddlers. Towels everywhere. Don't plan to move much.
Ginger sweets or boiled sweets. Sea bands if you have them.

In my experience, best to avoid eating at all, if poss. Best of luck Confused

Rich text biscuits and toast… in small nibbles and hope for the best. Hope you all get well soon

Mint tea, lots of it. We were the same last weekend and I knew I’d get it. No food.
