Can anyone recommend any that don't stop working after 5 minutes...???!

I now have a collection of various plugs and cables, none of which work. Tried swapping them over, now no idea if it's the plug or cable that doesn't work.

Arrghhh!

Amazon basics ones have always done the trick in my house. The 6ft cable is especially useful.

I use cables from IKEA and any old usb plug, never had a problem. They are the longest lasting cables I’ve found. All other cables fail quite quickly, metal ones are a bit better. Apple cables are the worst.

The plug tends to be ok, it’s the cable bit that stops working usually.

You can get the IKEA ones online. They seem more expensive than I remember, I hope they’re still the same.

Wireless charging is the way forward if yours is capable of it.

Also second Amazon Basics though.

I’ve tried so many and they’re all shit. Amazon basics broke after 2 weeks, a state of the art Belkin one was the best and came with a lifetime guarantee and they have sent 3 replacements with no quibble (you have to have a receipt and send photos of the broken part. I’ve tried various ones on Amazon all of which stopped working after a month or two. I live alone, have one iPad and take care of stuff so it’s not like Im rough or careless with them. They seem universally hopeless though.

I got a Livboj wireless charger from Ikea. Just don't buy the USB lead that's close to it in the store: it's the wrong one for the charger.

But before you rush back to Ikea, have you cleaned out the connection port on your iPhone? They get bunged up with pocket fluff. Poke around gently with the end of a toothpick or a soft dry brush and see if it makes a difference.
