My DD is 6 months old and I'm going back to uni in a few weeks so she has to go to nursery for two full days a week.. I'm not overly worried about leaving her but I'm nervous that she will be fully supervised and cared for and that she's not going to catch some serious Infection or something... (I know I know....) just to add I have worked in a nursery so know how it all works but still nervous!

Sort out her bag the night before.

Keep your emotions in check on your way to the nursery.

When you hand her over to the nursery worker look happy and wave a cheery good bye to her. Then swiftly leave.

If you feel like you need a cry do it outside after you have a walked a few minutes away.

Hopefully because she is 6 months she won't have bad separation anxiety. Also because she is so little and people who work with small children tend to like babies, they will spend a lot of time cuddling her.

Cry after! Always cry after!
Also ask for pictures, it really really helped me. Seeing that he was whizzing around with the Walker just like he did at home made me more relaxed.

You’ll be fine, she’ll be fine.

This will be me in a couple of weeks. DS will be there four days a week. He’s 8 months and nearly walking but still seems so tiny!

Luckily DH will be doing most of the drop offs and me most of the pick ups. Thanks for the tip on pictures, really going to miss having my little mate around all day.

Thanks guys.. the thought of leaving her with people i dont know is so scary. I keep thinking what if another baby gives her something small and she puts it in her mouth.. ShockHmm
