What happens if you move your child schools but new school offers different language?

Thinking of moving house and DC would probably go to a different school but the school in catchment does German and DC currently does French. They are only in year 8

Surely his happens frequently but I’m a bit wooded they won’t allow her a place? Though logically surely they can’t do that?

Ds has been at 3 secondary schools.
He started with German for a couple of years, then French for a bit, then Spanish.
Despite only doing Spanish for a couple of terms in year 9 and most of that in lockdown he was a high level 5 by the end of that year. Kids pick up languages easily so it shouldn't be a problem.

That’s great, just what I wanted to hear! Thank you
