11+ from yr 6 curriculum (GL)

Now that state schools follow a mastery curriculum there isnt the chance for bright yr 4s and 5s to have learnt yr 6 topics, yet there is yr 6 work in the 11+

Has anyone got a list of topics or examples in GL that need to be taught to children who will only have covered yr 5? It isn't the whole year isnt it? (My fuzzy brain from last child is thinking ratios/algebra but cant remember if there was other work.)

There is a list of topics covered here:

www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/advice/maths

You can cross check with national curriculum to see what is covered in Y6.

That's the tricky bit! For example under say "fractions" some bits are covered each year so I was wondering if somewhere this work had been done.

Thats a very general list so to check what exactly is covered and cross check with the subsections of the curriculum is quite a big job. I assume its been done though and tutors must be aware of what "top ups" they usually do.

Decimals can mean recognising or knowing 0.2 is smaller than 0.3

Or it can mean recognising 0.25 is the same as 1/4

Or simple addition/subtraction.

Or being able to multiply/divide...
