Reheating a ready made lasagne?

I’ve got to take my son to work with me tomorrow. He loves M&S vegan lasagne- can I cook it, let it cool and then reheat it in the micro at work? If so how long should I give it?

why don't you just cook it the first time in the microwave at work?

OoglyMoogly · 12/09/2021 09:20

Doesn't the pack give heating instructions?

I usually reheat on full power for a minute then check it and put it back 30 seconds at a time until it's hotter than the inside of a McDonald's apple pie. My micro is 900w.

also if its vegan, ie no meat, I would imagine there are fewer dangers with reheating than otherwise, so 5 mins maybe? But get him to pull it a apart a bit and see if the middle is hot.

If it's a ready meal you can probably just do it in the microwave

SaturdaySpread · 12/09/2021 09:34

I think it would be fine, but just do it in the microwave

bonfireheart · 12/09/2021 11:05

Not to be that annoying person but just take a sandwich

Oldraver · 12/09/2021 11:07

You don't need to 'cook' shop bought lasagna then cool and reheat... it's already cooked when you buy it

Only problem is if it's in a foil tray, if it is take it out and just microwave it

Lavenderpillow · 12/09/2021 14:33

I can’t take a sandwich as otherwise he won’t have had a hot meal all day. It’s in a foil tray so yeah I better take it out of there.

Why would it be such a problem to not have a hot meal one day? What did you do in the end?
