Last night of the Proms

I just flicked on to the Last night of the Proms and there are poplin the audience wearing blue hats with gold stars on them, like the EU flag. Is that what they are?

Think so, there seem to be a lot eu flags as well

I usually get all patriotic on hearing things like Land of Hope and Glory. But this time round it made me feel sad, thinking about the fact that with the Brexit mess and our incredibly corrupt government we really don't have a lot to be proud of.

I enjoyed it - I remember how sad last year's was, without an audience - it was marvellous to have the usual crowd back, bobbing and swaying and linking arms.

The EU flags are not new - they've been around for years.

I commented on that to DH, assumed they were EU. Seemed to remember quite a few EU flags at the the Last Night the year before COVID

@SquirryTheSquirrel I loved last year’s. Didn’t think I would without the audience but it had something about it
