Does this look like cellulitis?
Hubby's leg, he says its sore, it feels a bit warm to touch

I would say yes, it can travel very quickly, 111 or A&E. good luck

Babyroobs · 11/09/2021 21:54

My leg looked like that a couple of weeks ago. I took some flucloxacillin that I happened to have. I would get it checked out asap.

duvetstealer · 11/09/2021 22:11

Yes, I'd say so! Phone 101 but if he has a temp and is feeling rough get to a&e pronto.

Phone NHS 111
@duvetstealer 101 is for non emergency police.

Goosethemoose · 11/09/2021 22:25

Yes. My dad got sepsis from his and nearly died. I’d go to A&E.

jewel1968 · 11/09/2021 22:26

Yes. It looks like it. I have had it. It can b very serious so act quickly

jewel1968 · 11/09/2021 22:27

Go to A&E.. don't wait about

DramaAlpaca · 11/09/2021 22:29

Eek. Please get medical attention quickly.

QueenofLouisiana · 11/09/2021 22:29

Very likely. Get it looked at. I was told to do the same after s spider bite by someone who had needed surgery to remove damaged tissue. I avoided that, but needed a long course of strong antibiotics.

WalkingFred · 11/09/2021 22:31

Yes. Absolutely cellulitis. Go to a&e NOW. I speak from experience, having had this twice.

Hope all goes well - please report back and let us know how he gets on.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 11/09/2021 22:32

His toes are bruised, what happened?

I'd get it checked out , don't leave it?

Goosethemoose · 11/09/2021 22:32

To follow up, my dad was totally fine on a flight at midday and v unwell by 8pm the same day (Weds). Took antibiotics on Thurs, then bedbound. A doctor came out via 111 on the Fri evening and said it was our choice(!!!) whether to take my dad to hospital, which we did. He wouldn’t have survived the night, as it turned out. Don’t delay in seeking medical help.
