Anyone from London, can anyone recommend a good night out for a 40th celebration?

I don’t really go out much in London but visiting a friend for her 40th and I said I’d try and arrange something for us to do/somewhere to go.. there is 4 of us, and I was thinking a cocktail making thing or gin?
Are these any good? Any good places to go?
Also wouldn’t mind a bit of music (not clubbing though, I am not one for that anymore). Any ideas welcome

One of those Chinese karaoke restaurants in China Town. Lots of fun!

Evans & Peel (dress like it's the twenties, and make up an outrageous story about the birthday girl to tell the "detective" in the office)

What's the budget?

Cocktail making at Harvey Nicks.

Tattershall castle for the comedy boat show. Utterly brilliant night out, and incredible value for very central London

Budget is prob £100 for the night, staying with friends in Leytonstone, but happy to travel a bit

£100 per person?

Ronnie Scott's. Downstairs is a bit for serious jazz buffs, but upstairs is a lot more chilled out. Don't eat there though, food is shit. I also second Japanese style karaoke on Frith St. Much better having your own booth rather than being up on stage.
