Ages 5 to 7. I feel like we're at an inbetween stage between baby stuff and older.

I really don't watch many films and have never enjoyed disney/animated/superhero stuff so am clueless.

They are both enjoying dressing up as and playing with lego characters or marvel etc. But it seens the films are aimed at a much older age group.

They do like lion King, frozen etc. One is very into dinosaurs. The LOVED 100% Wolf which we stumbled across on Netflix.

Please can I have suggestions, especially if they're funny? We have Netflix and amazon prime. Thank you!

I have a 7 and 9 year old, but from about 4 -5 we have always liked the lego superhero films - batman, the flash, aquaman. They are not violent like the real actor films. Most pixar films are also a hit, shrek films, the despicable me and minions films. Tpy story films. I think when they are smaller, then animated works a bit better as they don't associate things happening to real people. Or as we are old school and still use DVDs, things like Mary Poppins are quite good.We do friday film night, but as they are now a little older and can understand what actors do and things aren't real, we stray into more grown up films- star wars, early Harry Potter, jumanji etc.

With Jumanji - we watched the original with Robin Williams - the new version may be a bit scary. They also liked Hook - especially the food fight scene.

Mine lived barbie films at that age. Just chose carefully... many are positive female role models (like spy squad and the space ones). Others are terrible, like charm school.

Shrek films
Studio ghibley films including ponyo and totoro but they're not funny, lovely though. Avoid grave of the fireflies though if you're looking at them! Grin

Monster university
The incredibles
Toy story all of them
Big hero 6
Onward (I love this too)
Coco
Tarzan
