My Son being spat at

My son has started reception this year. It was his second full day at school today. When we arrived home he said one kid from his class spat at him in the eye and hit him. My son hit him back. The other kid hit my son back again. Would you contact the teacher to tell her about the incident? It is the spitting that is bothering me, but it is only the second day at school and I don't want to overreact

It's only the spitting that's bothering you?!

I'd definitely email the school today. However, kids don't always tell the truth so just ask for this to be investigated, don't lay into the teacher.

I think I will email the school to ask if any of the teachers or teacher assistants saw what happened. Thanks for your reply
