£10 in washing machine

I didn’t check pockets before clothes went in the machine. Half way though, I saw it stuck to the door. By the end of the cycle, it was gone. It’s not in the clothes or in the door frame/rubber thing. Any suggestions as to where it’s gone?

With al the single socks ….. take the fluff filter out

FuckingFlumps · 10/09/2021 18:04

It was never there at all, you dreamt it. Grin

If it's not in the filter or the clothes then my guess it will sadly have vanished into the same black hole as all the missing socks.

Following. I love a good mystery thread. This has a lot of relatable elements.

Keep the updates coming OP.

Was there any fleeces in there? Sounds like you have been fleeced. Fleeces are bastards for fleecing.

Probably at the bottom behind a panel you can pull off
SummerHouse · 10/09/2021 18:10

No idea about where the filter is but I have so many laundry based puns at my fingertips. Grin

Ours has a little collection area bottom right which things end up in... a little drawer

Google your brand of machine and the word filter and you'll probably find diagrams or maybe even a video showing you. Smile

I didn’t think to check the filter when bloke didn’t empty his pockets!

In the folds of the rubber bit at the bottom of the door when you open it.

I found 2 £1 coins and a button in there today!

GreyhoundG1rl · 10/09/2021 21:41

It's still in there. They're virtually indestructible.

NannyGythaOgg · 10/09/2021 22:31

When I did it, I found it in the rubber door seal.

I didn't know I had left it in but it sat over the drain holes and the machine sulked and wouldn't empty, stayed locked and didn't tell me why.

I found it when I managed to open the door. (Off at the mains, after 1 minute the lock released)

InnPain · 10/09/2021 23:12

Hope you find it!

Oooooh! Money laundering!
Oldraver · 11/09/2021 18:18

Because lots of machines are low water usage, they can be opened mid cycle,

So next time try having a go 🤣

Hellocatshome · 11/09/2021 18:23

In the rubber seal around the door or in the filter. The filter is normally in a turny thing on the front at the bottom, possibly behind a panel.

purplesequins · 11/09/2021 18:27

in the filter.
look up the manual for your washer.
usually there is a square door/flap at the bottom front of the machine.
put some towels on the floor, there will be some water.
I usually find treasures like nylon socks, coins, hair bobbles...
