Teabag related brain teaser anyone?

I love a strong cup of tea but I have to be careful because I'm really sensitive to caffeine. My brain teaser is as follows:

If I have a dainty teacup and a large mug, and I put identical teabags into both, fill and brew for the same length of time...

Will the larger cup contain more caffeine? Or does the extra water just dilute the strength and make them the same?

They’re the same, you’re still ingesting 1 x teabag’s worth of caffeine

However, if you made one small cup of tea and one enormous cup of tea and then drank 100mls from each one, the 100mls from the small cup of tea would contain more caffeine

This is the answer I wanted. I love massive cups of tea but I worried it contained more caffeine.

Won't you over compensate and dingle the teabag for longer in the bigger cup to achieve your favoured colour?
I know I would.

Yeah I do over dingle I think. I think I need to accept slightly weaker tea so I can drink my big mug.

Buy decaf teabags

Yes to decaff teabags - I changed to them a little while ago and feel better for it (I thought I wouldn't like the taste but I soon got used to it an now much prefer them).

I like a massive mug as well - but I have very weak tea that most people look at and pull a disgusted face Grin DD on the other hand steeps her tea bag for about 15 mins as she likes it super strong - she's an aberration obviously.

Yes, decaf Yorkshire tea is lovely 😍

Would the larger amount of water in the large mug allow more caffeine to be 'absorbed' into the greater amount of water?
You'll have less 'tea' left in the teabag you take out.
Like a certain amount of water can only absorb so much sugar.
