Hi, a friend of mine is in a really low place. He’s been having suicidal thoughts and I don’t know how to help him. Has any one got any advice on what I can do? I’m scared for him.

Is there a mental health crisis team in your area?

Bonivor · 10/09/2021 10:37

I’m not sure, I’ve searched online and not seen anything. Would Samaritans talk to me?

Is he close to his family?

Bonivor · 10/09/2021 10:53

To some yes but there’s conflict with others which is making his MH worse. They don’t know what to do either. I feel a bit helpless.

Samaritans might talk to you but I don't think they can give advice as such. This is on their website:

'We won’t make decisions for you, and we'll support the decisions you make.

You are the expert on your own life. Our advice or opinions are not important.

If you want specific advice, we may be able to give you contact details for organisations that specialise in helping with a problem you may have. www.samaritans.org/wales/how-we-can-help/if-youre-having-difficult-time/other-sources-help/
