Please can anyone help me identify a song I heard on the radio?

I was driving along and half listening to the radio and a song came on I had never heard before which I liked. So at the end of the song I listened to hear what it was but they played another one and only said what the second one was. I gave tried googling some lyrics but no avail.

I thought perhaps someone here might be able to help.

So the song was saying

You will never be alone

And it was about a mum looking after kids and not to feel she was just a wife.

That time was passing on and not as young as you once were.

Male vocal.

Playlists are usually on the station's website. I've found songs I've heard that way.

Could it have been 'Say you won't let go' by James Arthur? I can't remember the song that well but I seem to recall it was along the sort of lines you describe.....

Hurry up and find the one
Who makes you feel like you've become complete
(Whoa, ooh-whoa, yeah, yeah)
Feed the kids and wash their clothes
Be jealous of the life that's out of reach
(Whoa, ooh-whoa, yeah, yeah)
You've never felt that way inclined
It's taken all the years to find out
You're free, supposedly
All your sisters and your brothers
All have significant others of their own
(Whoa, ooh-whoa, yeah, yeah)
Must be a thousand times she told you
That your body's getting oldеr, don't you know?
(Whoa, ooh-whoa, yeah, yeah)
Don't that make you feel alonе?
But don't that make you feel alone?
But don't that make you feel alone?
But don't that make you feel alone
When you're on your own?
You'll get married to a man
Who has all the desired plans for life
(Whoa, ooh-whoa, yeah, yeah)
You didn't think you'd end up here
And you'd be more than just somebody's wife
(Whoa, ooh-whoa, yeah, yeah)
You're out of time is what they said
Now look who's sleeping in your bed
You're still free, supposedly
And all your sisters and your brothers
All have significant others of their own
(Whoa, ooh-whoa, yeah, yeah)
Must be a thousand times she told you
That your body's getting oldеr, don't you know?
(Whoa, ooh-whoa, yeah, yeah)
Don't that make you feel alonе?
But don't that make you feel alone?
But don't that make you feel alone?
But don't that make you feel alone
When you're on your own?
Don't that make you feel alone?
But don't that make you feel alone?
But don't that make you feel alone?
But don't that make you feel alone
When you're on your own?

ThePotatoCroquette · 10/09/2021 12:31

@Mariell I couldn't agree more the lyrics are horribly depressing
