Any one struggling with a nasty virus that isn't Covid?

It started last weekend with earache and sore throat, developed into a shocking headache that has lasted for days, now complete exhaustion, body aches, still very sore throat and a cough that hurts my whole body. I've been waking about 4am in such pain with the throat and cough I can't go back to sleep.

LFT and PCR tests negative. I feel such a wimp because clearly I have a cold, but I do feel ill. I've literally done nothing all week.

My toddler was in hospital with it last week and I'm just getting over it, still got the sore throat. Hospital said it's an upper respiratory virus that's going round.

I haven't felt as bad as you describe OP, but had a headache for 3 days, slight sore throat and sneezing. My main problem has been complete exhaustion. So so tired, had an early night every night fir a week and still not right.

I'd probably do another PCR in your case. I know several people who have taken 2-3 before getting their positive.

Yes, I've been ill for a month with it. Sore throat, cough, really painful sinuses, tiredness.

Yeah I’ve just had that, it was genuinely awful, worst one for years. The word ‘cold’ covers all manner of sins! I think regular commuting must have been hardening my immune system more than I realised before.

Same here, the exhaustion from it has been terrible. The cough is so painful. Feel like such a wimp but I’m really struggling with it and looking after DC alone. Hope you get better soon op

RSV is going around isn’t it, which hits toddlers and babies hard?

I have this, double ear infection too. I haven't been this ill since I had flu thirty years ago.
