Is there a sparkling water shortage everywhere or just by me?

Been to 6 supermarkets this week. Not a single bottle of sparkling water anywhere. Even the stuff that £4/litre.

It’s the one pregnancy craving that’s stuck with me and I neeeeeed it

Yeah I’ve been struggling for a couple of weeks now. Mind you Tesco delivered me twice what I ordered because they didn’t have any little bottles.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed a shortage. I have a soda stream at home but we're on holiday this week and I've really struggled to find any.

Drinks shelves are bare at my local Co-Op. I don’t buy much bottled water but keep a stash in my clinic for clients and got the last six-pack. There was loads of booze, thank the Lord.

Widespread to my knowledge not just sparkling either my favourite strawberry flavoured water been hit and miss for about a month now

Yes! Lidl only had single smaller bottles of some posher looking stuff I've not seen in there before. OH managed to pick up a four pack of the normal stuff elsewhere, but I swear it used to come in a 6 pack not a 4 pack.
I've considered soda stream on env grounds (all that plastic!)

Tesco delivery man told me it's been in short supply for a few weeks. He commented how lucky I was to get it in my delivery.

Not cheaper but not that expensive. I find it better because you don't get the flat 1/3rd I find with 2 litre bottles. I also hated all the plastic waste.

There been a shortage for weeks! It’s so annoying. The only place I’ve been able to get some is Lidl

I think it's the bottles that are the issue rather than the water itself. We need to. Go back to refilling glass bottles!

I think that's because there are problems with truck drivers availability so the supernarkets stopped stocking bottled water as it takes up a lot of space on a lorry but doesn't bring in a lot of margin.
Or so I read.

I’m in central London and most supermarkets have been out of sparkling water for a while but still some in local shops

I too have had a fizzy water goose chase. Found some in a Lidl today, 40mins away from home as I just happened to be passing. Love the stuff so also been wondering about a soda stream. Although I think the last time I struggled to get it, it was due to a C02 shortage so whether owning a soda stream wouldn't actually help in that instance...if you can't get the cannisters? (I don't know how a soda stream works; was deprived of one as a kid and wasn't permitted to use my sisters...anyway I digress)
