Potato products always mouldy!

The last three occasions I have bought potato products, chips, fries, smiles.etc they have been mouldy!
The fries have black parts to them that you can see has gone inside same with the chunky chips and now today I bought some smiles and they have loads of black dots on them.
I'm getting fed up and annoyed because I never know what's going to be in the packet when I open them.
Has anyone else noticed this recently in a lot of products?
This literally never happens to me and now three times In a row?

Omg I have not noticed this but I never check. I will do now. What if I've earned mould

It's not mould Grin

It's just bruises and blemishes in the potoatoes it's made from.

I bought a bag of maris pipers from asda, two days later they were absolutely putrid (stored properly!). I now have the fear of raw potatoes and have ordered frozen Aunt Bessies instead Hmm

It is mould.

The frozen products have either defrosted during transit (and then frozen again in the shop freezers) or the freezers in the shop are not working properly and are not keeping the products completely frozen.

There is a possibility that YOUR freezer is to blame. Is it consistently keeping food fully frozen? Are you overfilling the freezer?

Our local M&S had this problem - roast potatoes and chips both had black spots.
I returned them and got replacements with no black spots.

My freezer has no problem keeping food frozen. I've had this freezer 3-4 years now and I have no problem with other frozen food just potato products.
