Which reality tv shows would you do?

Have been watching Married at First Sight and pondering if I was still single would I give it a go. Think I might. Marriage would fail in a week as I can be 'quite abrasive', (my own DH's words of course).

Strictly if I was a minor 'sleb'.
Not Big Brother (see above personality flaw)
The Apprentice (also see above)
Not I'm a Celeb or anything with wildlife - watching Rebecca Loos wank a pig was a lesson learnt for me.
Yes bloody please to Dancing on Ice

What would you be game for?

I'd love to do the apprentice, but I'm not good at working with others so would be terrible at it

Constellationstation · 10/09/2021 15:10

I’d do Great British Bake Off or The Circle

I'd love to go on First Dates... Too nervous to apply. Been three and half years since my DP died.

Sewing Bee and GBBO

Obsessed with this series of Married at First Sight by the way!

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 10/09/2021 15:13

The only thing I would do would be one of those historical ones where you have to live like a 19th century coalminer or whatever. I would love that even though it would be hellish.

People sometimes tell me I should apply for Sewing Bee but I am actually nothing like as skilled as the people on that plus I get flustered if I have to do things fast so I would be the first one out.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 10/09/2021 15:16

Dancing On Ice — they all seem to be able to get going quickly so hopefully I'd come out being able to get around a rink reasonably well. Splash! and Flockstars for the same skill-learning reason. Although I'm not sure when I'd need to herd sheep outside that context.

Bring On The Wall also looked really fun (if really silly).

Oh go on, we will all be behind you ThanksThanks
RubyFakeLips · 10/09/2021 15:33

Christ, I couldn't do Bake Off, my culinary tantrums would make Ian and his binned ice cream cake look charming.

Embarrassing Bodies 🤣

CheerfulBunny · 10/09/2021 15:43

I'd do Strictly if I was a celeb but I reckon I'd be rubbish. Not knowing my left from right might be an issue Grin It was a few years ago now but they did celebrity showjumping for Sport Relief which looked amazing and would be basically my dream come true. Probably mostly forgotten about now but I think Sara Cox won it?
I'd be tempted by The Jump (mad skiing thing on C4 with Davina McCall) but loads of people got terrible injuries from it so I think they've put a stop to it.

Do it! A couple of friends of friends did it and both said they found it weirdly cathartic and it helped them understand what they were looking for.
Unfashionable · 10/09/2021 15:48

Any / all of them, including Naked Attraction, if they made me a financial offer I couldn’t refuse. By which I mean a completely life-changing amount equivalent to a big lottery win.

Palavah · 10/09/2021 15:59

I was thinking it would be worth doing a popular reality show just so i could then be on celeb versions as 'reality star Palavah' where you can learn a skill and be paid for it.
Strictly
Dancing on Ice
Celeb bake-off
Celeb Masterchef
Christmas University Challenge and Pointless Celebs.
One of the SAS survival or Bear Grylls ones.
What else am I missing?

I loved Back in Time for Tea!

And years ago, there were two or three series called "That'll Teach 'Em" where teens went to a sixties grammar or secondary modern. Perhaps some of you with teens would be volunteering them? Grin

A garden makeover.
My garden is huge, overgrown & full of weeds

Mariell · 10/09/2021 16:36

I can’t think of a single reality tv show that isn’t a load of rubbish, contrived and scripted, so I will have to invent one -

I loved school so I would like a school reunion show where all of my old senior form class were reassembled and we had to go to school and have our lessons but with the modern curriculum and socialise in our tea break and lunch real and see how we would all cope and whether the friendship groups would be the same or different.

That sounds really interesting. There could be a different type of school in each episode- state, private, single sex, religious…
Orgasmagorical · 10/09/2021 16:47

Sewing Bee, as long as I could make what I like, in my own time, get rid of the irritating contestants in the first five minutes and it wasn't on the telly. As long as it was knitting not sewing.
