Fancy hotel restaurant experiences?

How do you find them? We want to book a little weekend away to celebrate so are looking for something a bit posh, michelin starred perhaps. Cotswold type location. We're in the midlands but happy to travel a couple of hours probably.

Without meaning to sound sarcastic - have you looked at the Michelin guide? If you look at via Michelin it will even tell you which road to take! It was a revelation to me.

I'd love to take the high road here and say of course I have.....but it didn't even occur to me! What a dummy. Thanks for the kind nudge!
