I know I can google it, but would like personal views.
Me and my DD are going to see the Specials on Saturday. We have tickets to an exhibition and will need lunch.
She is keen to go to the two tone village and visit the cafe. I am happy to do that, but she is a plain eater and I am a bit concerned about her finding something to eat.

Can’t help with your question, but bumping for you. DH and I are seeing them next Tuesday- can’t wait!

Excited doesn’t even come close to describing my DDs state at the moment.
We saw them in Cambridge on her 18th and she got the tickets for Coventry because they will make more effort Hmm I don’t think Lynval could have made more of an effort.
Me and DH are dropping her back to university on Monday and she’s seeing them again in Nottingham next week

If this is the one you mean, the menu is on the website www.simmerdownrestaurant.com/2-tone-cafe.html

They offer egg or beans on toast and similar, which should suit a plain eater.

Fabulous.
Egg on toast at a Caribbean restaurant.
Maybe she will add some hot sauce 😄

I’d love DD to be more interested in our (decent) music but it’s just not to her taste. ☹️
I saw them in 1981 when I was 18, along with Selecter and The Beat. Those were the days.

@3catsandcounting
Our DD is a bit of an anomaly. She loves Oasis, Queen, Johnny Cash and two tone.
She has a little 2tone man tattooed on her ankle.
I remember the good old days! First saw the Specials, Beat, Selector aged about 14. I lived in London and am almost certain they performed at rock against racism events.
I saw The singer in a clothes shop in Covent Garden. I approached him and said ‘You’re Terry Hall’ he told me to fuck off

😂
I saw Madness in Blackpool in 1979; we all wore black & white, and pork pie hats. Waiting outside the Mecca Ballroom when it had finished, the whole band walked round the corner of the building and jumped on a tatty waiting coach, waving to all of us like loons. 🤣.
I was 2 years younger than Suggs. We had a very brief moment of eye contact through the window.
