I’m falling asleep on the sofa - one extra hour at work seems to have worn me out! It was very busy though. DH is working til about 8.30. I was going to do fresh salmon from the fishmongers for tea but it had closed by the time DD & I had been to get her friend’s birthday pressie so we’ll have ready meals instead. I got some from Parsley Box with a super long shelf life. It’s really foggy & humid here, which also isn’t helping with the sleepiness. Rained very heavily too. Hopefully it won’t rain later as it’s my turn to put the rabbits to bed. Looking forward to Corrie, even though I made the mistake of reading next week’s TV guide which gave something away & spoilt it a bit. If I can be bothered to move, I will pop to the local shop to cash my scratch card ( won £20) & maybe buy some wine.

I'm watching the original series of NCIS & scrolling here. I'm tired after being out at our first Rainbow and Guide meetings, in person, for 18 months last night, and work today.

Dd1's just come down to make a brew.

Dd2's also knackered after being out late-ish and later to bed last night. Plus she came home a sweaty, hot, mess today & was very upset (she doesn't do heat very well).

Early nights tonight I think! I actually want to pick up my crochet for an hour, I just cba to move 🤷‍♀️

Dd is in her room doing whatever teenagers do , dh is finishing some work on the computer and listening to the football and I'm on mn waiting for celebrity master chef at 9 pm.

Dh is currently putting ds to bed. I'm lying in bed waiting and then we are going to devour a lamb kobeda kebab

DS2 and DD are in bed.
DS1 is playing rocket league
I'm just scrolling MN.

Dd1 & dd2 are fighting over who is having their shower first.

Dd3 is in bed reading.

Dh is sitting in the dark in the side room with the window open listening to the neighbours have yet another blazing argument outside. I await the lowdown on same.

I'm reading a book called Sleep by CL Taylor downstairs. DD is in bed. Not sure if asleep or reading Tom Gates. DP has gone to band practice. Cat is sat staring at me.

Dd is in her room FaceTiming her boyfriend and getting her stuff ready for college tomorrow

Got gone at8, DH had dinner ready. Did some quick housework, put DS to bed, showered and crawled into bed to watch 9/11 documentary. DH is downstairs watching Netflix and dd is in bed sick again, she’s had terrible tonsillitis!

Lovely wee day because I was able to do a normal 8hr shift at work instead of the usual 12/14!!

Ah this is all so sweet, like peaking inside the windows of an advent calendar.

I'm sat on the sofa with a glass of cold fizzy pop while MNing. It's too warm to be as pregnant as I am and I can't get comfy. DH is playing with a synth in his office and DC1 has only just fallen asleep despite bedtime being 8pm. I have sneakily eaten the last of the chocolate buttons and have zero regrets

I'm knackered! Started a new full time job recently and am still getting settled in. DC in bed, reading done and packed lunches ready for the morning. I'm going to linger here for half an hour and go to bed!

DH is doing a bit of work in the study, DDs are all sound asleep and I’m preparing a little activity for DD2 and 3 Rainbow group on Thursday. They asked if I could help out as they’re short of volunteers (knowing I am a former early years teacher) and I’m happy to. Timing isn’t ideal as DH is working away for a couple of days but luckily my parents are able to come look after remaining DDs whilst I go along.
DH and I will catch up on Married at First Sight UK soon. We’ve agreed to ‘meet’ at 10 on the couch with a coffee 😂. He was hoping to watch football highlights I think 🤔

I went to see my Dad this evening taking his shopping. We sat and had a chat for an hour or two and then I came home around 7.30pm. Since then I finished reading my book, I've had a couple of glasses of wine and spent some time texting DD. She's coming home tomorrow for a posh 21st at the weekend. I also sent an email to my friend who I spent the weekend with - she has terminal cancer and I spent some time capturing my love of the fun and laughter we shared (with her husband) and the deep sadness of the shit she is dealing with. Fuck.

The windows are wide open and I'm enjoying the sound of the rain coming down to break the hat.

Felt busy this evening as the in-laws popped over briefly and I'd also had to go shopping post school run. Got the kids into bed this eve, DH cooked dinner whilst I showered and now I'm watching a couple episodes of Emily in Paris with a cup of tea and mumsnetting - DH has gone to bed.

The kids are in school. DH is in work. I'm WFH in blissful peace, with the kittens all to myself Obviously I'm having a MN break, then I'm going to clean out the fridge and the hob. Then wander back to my desk.

It's a lovely dull day here, still warm enough but definitely a little autumnal. The leaves on the beech outside the sitting room window are turning brown and every time there's a breath of wind, there's a gentle rattle as more of them hit the drive. Only 3 weeks and a day till we light the first fire of the winter

DH is on a conference call (WFH) a few meters behind me. There's a window cleaner behind the window currently. The cat is freaking out about the latter while disturbing the former. I've just realised there was a tissue in my load of dark laundry, and I don't have the will to deal with it yet, so I'm staring at a screen and drinking coffee.
