Can anyone make this out?
Other side of the card is completely blank.
I've been waiting on this parcel for weeks and it was meant to be delivered yesterday, it should fit through the letterbox as it's a certificate thing 🤷🏻‍♀️

It looks like it says SCAN 1 to me.

Not sure what that would mean though.

Have you called the post office?

LadyCatStark · 08/09/2021 11:23

It looks like it says sofa to me although o presume they haven’t left it on your sofa 😂. Nothing would surprise me with delivery drivers though!

Mariell · 08/09/2021 11:27

Garden.

TaraR2020 · 08/09/2021 11:29

HenriettaBadger · 08/09/2021 11:30

Garden?

Pinkywoo · 08/09/2021 11:34

Sign? As in it needs a signature to be delivered?

PineappleWilson · 08/09/2021 11:35

I'd say Gate

isettled · 08/09/2021 11:36

Not over the fence or in any of the usual hiding places.

Just remembered I have cctv 🤦🏻‍♀️

He scans it walking up the path, knocks the door, waits puts the card through the door and walk off putting the letter back in his bag. Still no idea what it saysGrin

What does it say to the left?

Porridgealert · 08/09/2021 11:37

When you get that card, don't you have to go pick it up from the collection office the next day on? So it doesn't really matter what it says.

Porridgealert · 08/09/2021 11:39

Royal mail don't leave parcels like dhl, amazon etc. Nor will they leave them at a neighbours. You have to collect them or ring and arrange for them to be redelivered.

namechange30455 · 08/09/2021 11:40

I would guess it says sign and so he couldn't deliver it without knowing you were actually there (in normal times getting a signature) even if it would fit through the letterbox? I think when I get medications delivered it says something like don't put through letterbox hand to resident. Could be something like that?

Porridgealert · 08/09/2021 11:40

You say he scanned it. It says scan.

chesirecat99 · 08/09/2021 11:43

Those are the boxes to show what delivery service was used. That's the "Other" box.

My guess is that it means 1 parcel and they have written SCAN as it is a type of delivery that required a signature but they aren't getting people to sign at the moment, they do something with their handheld devices instead.

The other side should say where they have left it or if it has been returned to the delivery office. If it's been left blank, I would assume it has gone back to the delivery office as the default.

isettled · 08/09/2021 11:56

Box to the left does say scan so that makes sense it's just the delivery type.

My usual postie is brilliant and asked years ago if I was ok for him to sign for things and leave them in a safe space etc because I work shifts and he doesn't like to disturb me (he's so lovely) but this was a new one postman.

I'll see if it comes back tomorrow, and might need to try the sorting office place.

Normally that bottom box means it's gone back and will be ready for collection within 24 hours from attempted delivery.

idontlikealdi · 08/09/2021 11:58

And as it's a certificate they have sent it to be signed for

Mariell · 08/09/2021 12:06

Not for our address! They leave all parcels in our ‘safe place’ whether they have to be signed for or not!

We have a sign on our front door instructing all couriers and Royal Mail exactly where to leave all parcels.

Our postman is fantastic.
