Christening gift?

Hi All.
One of my friends has invited us to the christening of her twin girls (aged 8 months) and I need to get them a gift. She has a little boy aged 3, who was christened pre-pandemic and I'd like to get him something too.
Can anyone recommend anything not too expensive but not totally naff, please? I was thinking maybe some personalised children's mugs for when they are older, I recall I was given one when I was little and loved having hot chocolate in it but wanted to ask for opinions / other suggestions. Thank you!

Personalised mugs sound lovely.

My DS is an adult now, but the two christening gifts he still has are a hip flask which was given with a tag saying not to be used till date of his 18th birthday, and a hand painted clock with his name and date of christening on it. Well, he has the hip flask and I have the clock!

Thank you @Albless!! Those are both fab gifts - so thoughtful and it's lovely you and DS still have them. I just wish I had a bit more to spend, but you've reassured me about the mugs.
