Echo Alexa or the Google home, intercom?

DS1 has a Sonos with Alexa and I have one downstairs - I regularly use them as intercom - Alexa Announce "Get to bed" etc

I want to get DS2 similar however I don't want Announcement targeted at DS1 going off in DS2s room.

Is there a way to get Announcements only to Announce in the appropriate room? I don't think I can with Echo / Alexa but could I with Google?

You can do that with google (hey Google broadcast to ds2) it can be a bit buggy tho!

You can with Alexa

When you add them you use the app to name the device then announce to that name

So say Alexa announce to DDs dot time for dinner

Or you can drop in to the targeted Alexa and have a live conversation, using the pair as an intercom.
