My DM has sepsis- need a handhold

Yesterday my mum was taken by an ambulance and today we were told she has sepsis (probably as a result of an UTI). She also suffers from end-stage-liver-disease.

We managed to get a home visit from her GP last Friday. All he did was check her blood pressure and temperature and said he'll book a nurse to get her a blood test. It being Friday meant nurse only called on Monday to arrange something and didn't even come!

AIBU to be appalled at this? We don't know how severe her sepsis is as some of the symptoms overlap those of her liver disease, which I'm assuming is why the GP wasn't alarmed. She's in hospital on antibiotics now, but they'll not letting anyone see her due to covid.

Please someone tell me she can still get out of this alive Sad...

So sorry for your loss. Also congratulations on your baby, how hard for you that they didn’t get to meet.
