WiFi in Air BnB / holiday let

DH and I are hoping to go away to a holiday rental for a week this Autumn just for the a change of scenery, and where DH can still wfh. His company are happy for employees to work from anywhere as long as their WiFi connection is good. The last 3 Air BnB's we've booked have said they have WiFi but when we've arrived it turns out it's shit, or only usable jn one room or something. We even contacted one of the owners in advance to check and they said it was excellent WiFi, but when we arrived we were unable to keep connection on a video call. The Air BnB app / website don't have filters for ultra fast WiFi - just WiFi yes or no.

Does anyone know of holiday rental sites where you can filter options for excellent WiFi, or of anyone places that do have excellent WiFi?

Can you not check broadband speed for the places you are interested in?

Does your DH not have any annual leave left?

Some places (lovely, remote, rural holiday spots!) just have rubbish wifi provision. It can be really tricky. Might be worth checking the mobile coverage where you're going - you could use your mobile as a hot-spot for a laptop if your network gets good coverage?

No suggestions for filtering by wifi, sorry.
Is using a 4G hotspot from his phone an alternative as a back up? In which case I would think you might be able to check coverage in advance.

@RampantIvy he does but we are saving that for a holiday at Christmas. This is simply wfh but in a different location!

Name change btw!

Yes I guess we should check 4G as a back up.

When I have done this, we have chosen hotels for just this reason. I need to know that I’m going to have reliable internet and a hotel is just easier to check for that.
