I think an underrated one is Children's Hospital. It makes me cry every bloody time though.

If you are really old like me, Robinson Crusoe is hard to beat. Also Thunderbirds, The Prisoner, Father Ted, Magic Roundabout.

And the theme to Inspector Morse, by Barrington Pheloung. Lovely.
