I've just shared a bottle of this and discovered I do quite like red wine after all! I know this one is particularly sweet and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for anything similar?

Jam shed Shiraz is fabulous.

Have you tried Barefoot Jammy Red. Quite similar.

I don't drink red at all but we were having some cheese and i remembered I had the Yellow Tail so I thought why not! And now I'm wanting to try more. I really like Barefoot rose and white so I can quite believe their red will be good as well.

I rarely like sweetish alcohol but love that and Jam Shed. Try Argentinian Malbecs - I find them quite similar

Haggisfish3 · 06/09/2021 21:37

Yes I do, too.

I don't think these are sweet - just fruitier than a lot of red wines. Yellow Tail Shiraz is great and the same wine maker as Black Stump that Laithwaites sell.

Ooh god, no, this one is awful. I had it a few years ago (because I used to drink Yellow Tail in my 20s) and it was actually fizzy. Like there were bubbles. I don't know if that's normally how it is or I just got a bad bottle. But it was like some weird fizzy sweet red wine. It's completely put me off Yellow Tail and I've never bought another bottle.

This definitely didn't have any bubbles at all.

There is a lovely fizzy red by Jacob’s Creek, and similar fizzy red by McGuigan…lovely drunk ice cold
