IKEA earliest delivery date 8th October!

Has anyone ordered anything from them recently?

I ordered some storage boxes from IKEA the earliest option was on 8th October! There's no real rush to have it sooner but really? I'm worried that it will be forgotten about. Please tell me it will be okay. I haven't spent much but still...

Wow, was there no click and collect option?

There’s something on the news today about there being delays in some items being available due to shortage on delivery drivers and general covid and brexit. I think this may account for the long delivery date.

I ordered something sat a week ago and arrived thurs.

The chain is broken.... factories, packaging suppliers...and haulage!! Employers are struggling. Give them a break.

I ordered a mattress for delivery 12th August and it was delayed until 17th Sept. It is now coming tomorrow, so you never know the timeline might speed up.

I was mighty cheesed off with the delay tbh. Had got a new bed for DD and was going to try and get her in it and stop cosleeping before I went back to work. The delay means I am now back at work, and so on my knees I dare not try right now!

I know they have been utterly crippled with staffing shortages due to covid. It sounds like entire stores have had it run through from what ive been told by friends who work for them.

And thats on top of haulage issues and Brexit issues slowing things down.

I suspect this is going to be for some time yet from what I'm hearing.

Been like that for a while, I gave up as the wait was too long so went with Argos, when I looked it was at least 2 months wait

No, for some reason it wasn't available at my nearest branch which is still a trek.

I'll wait it out.
